Passive Protection
Shaft Cover
A fire-resistant, smoke-tight shaft cover used in high-rise buildings to protect vertical service shafts and keep a potential fire contained. Produced in single-leaf and double-leaf, rated and non-rated options.
Features
- Made of fire-resistant materials; prevents a potential fire from escaping the area.
- Per Article 25/3, vertical service-shaft and flue walls for waste, communications, documents and technical equipment must be fire-resistant and smoke-tight for at least 120 minutes, and their covers for at least 90 minutes.
- Offered in single-leaf and double-leaf, as frame and leaf separately.
Application areas
Used in high-rise buildings to protect electrical installations and keep any incident contained within one area.
